UNAUTHORIZED ELECTRONIC TRANSACTION CHANGES: Effective Nov. 1 2015, if you notify the bank within two business days of learning of the loss or theft of your debit card, your loss will be limited to no more than $50.00 if someone uses your card without your permission. If you do not notify the bank within two business and the bank can prove they could have stopped someone from using your card if notified, you could lose as much as $500.00

Target Data Breach

Bank of the Prairie received a list on 12/19/2013 from MasterCard containing customer cards that may have been compromised in relation to the Target stores data breach. You may read the official press release from Target here: Unauthorized access to payment card data in U.S. stores

We contacted all affected customers with additional details on 12/19/2013 and ordered new debit cards for all customers affected by this breach. Customers should have received their new debit cards as of today, 12/31/2013. If you have not received your replacement card or new PIN, please call the bank.
