Mr. Everett L. Hixson has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Wichita State University and attended Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Mr. Hixson has been in banking for 28 years and has held positions of trust officer, internal auditor, compliance officer, BSA/AML officer, supervisor of deposit and loan operations and bank director. Mr. James A. Thomas has a Bachelors of Arts from UMKC and attended Stonier Graduate School of Banking with thesis in 1981. He served as an instructor for Robert Morris & Associates Commercial Loans to Business course to regional young loan officers for 14 years. Mr. Thomas has been in banking for 46 years. Mr. Thomas worked in banking while getting his undergraduate degree. Mr. Thomas became the youngest voting member of the Loan Committee in 1973 at the bank he was serving. He has served large national corporate accounts, medium to small businesses in financing equipment and handled one of the first ESOP loans made in the Kansas City area. Mrs. Harrison attended Emporia State University and has been in the banking world for 32 years, five of those years at Bank of the Prairie. Mrs. Harrison’s expertise resides in the daily operations, procedures and compliance areas. She currently manages the College location at 23600 College Blvd. Mrs. Harrison is involved in Beta Sigma Phi which is a local philanthropic group that helps people in need.

Mrs. Dale attended the University of Kansas and has 14 years of banking experience. During those 14 years she has served in several positions including item processing, bookkeeping, accounts payable, wire transfers, accounting, operations and management. She has been with Bank of the Prairie since 2009. For the last 10 years, Mrs. Dale has served as a Board of Director for Reach Out Ministries and actively serves in the finance office at Koinonia Bible Church.
Dustin Fluderer | Vice President Internal Audit and Loan Review
Mr. Dustin W. Fluderer has a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Kansas and an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Johnson County Community College. Mr. Fluderer has been in banking for 16 years serving in the Retail, Loan Operations, Internal Audit and Loan Review capacities. Mr. Fluderer joined Bank of the Prairie in 2005.
Lisa Young | Loan Operations Officer
Mrs. Young is a graduate of Johnson County Community College and attended Baker University. She has 10 years of banking experience in the following areas: Commercial Lending with a focus primarily on development, daily management and/or oversight of lending budget, strategic planning, incentive planning, OREO, LLLR and Other Assets. She has 3 years in retail banking management. Mrs. Young has 20 years of management and operational experience in training, non-profit, marketing and banking. Mrs. Young joined Bank of the Prairie in 2011. Mrs. Young is active in the Keith Worthington ALS Association Chapter in Overland Park, Kansas serving as a Committee Member and as a Team Captain for their annual walk.
Alex Tafoya | Director of Information Technology
Mr. Tafoya has a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science with emphasis in Information Systems from Fort Hays State University. He has been in banking IT for 7 years working in Network Administration, Application Design, Virtualization, Information Security and Risk Management. Mr. Tafoya has been at Bank of the Prairie since 2008. He is a member of Kansas Bankers Association.
